Referees are spoiling the game – Legon Cities coach Paa Kwesi Fabin

Legon Cities coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin has slammed Ghana Premier League referees, claiming the officials are destroying the game.

Fabin, one of the experienced brains in the local scene was left fuming after his side were beaten 2-0 by Karela United in the week 18 of the top-flight.

The former Ghana U17 tactician blamed bias officiating for the Royals defeat to Karela United last Sunday. Legon Cities were reduced to 10-man after just eight minutes into the game.

Goals from Solomon Aboagye and Fatawu Mohammed ensured the home team secure maximum points.

“You said we shouldn’t talk about Ghana referees but look at what happened here. We were reduced to 10-man just eight minutes into the game which was uncalled for” he said.

“The red card changed the game, it affected our plans. What can you do when you are reduced to 10-man just eight minutes into a game? he quizzed.

“The referee was bias on us. They say we shouldn’t talk about referees but Ghanaian referees are spoiling the game” he added.

Legon Cities find themselves on the 11th position with 24 points after 18 matches.
