Real Tamale United striker Augustine Frimpong dedicates goal to Asante Kotoko fans –

Real Tamale United forward Augustine Frimpong has dedicated his goal to Asante Kotoko fans who criticized him ahead of the game.

Augustine received some serious black lash from some fans of Asante Kotoko over comments made ahead of the game.

The striker responded to those criticisms with a goal from the penalty spot in the game against the Porcupine Warriors at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

“I dedicate my goal to all Asante Kotoko fans who said I was bragging ahead of the game”, he said in an interview.

Former Hearts of Oak striker Victor Aidoo scored the second goal for RTU to secure the win for the Porcupine Warriors. Aidoo capitalized on an error by Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad.

Frank Mbella scored late in the goal to reduce the deficit for the Porcupine Warriors.

Real Tamale United is placed 16th on the league table with 28 points after this win.

They are currently tied up with Eleven Wonders also on the same point in the battle for relegation.
