One facet of their game that is in need of improvement is their home record, though, as La Real have won just one of their last five home matches in the Spanish top-flight.
The Barcelona defeat also means that Real Sociedad has lost three of their previous four league matches on home soil. However, two of those defeats were against the Catalan giants, and the other was Atletico’s last trip to the Reale Arena.

Diego Simeone’s team has picked up the same number of points as the home side in the new La Liga season. Los Rojiblancos have recorded wins over Getafe and Valencia, having suffered a surprise 2-0 home defeat to Villarreal sandwiched in between.
A 1-0 win at Valencia last time out means that Atletico has won five of their previous seven matches in the Spanish top-flight since May.
Atletico Madrid has a strong recent away record, as the visitors have won their last four away games in the Spanish top-flight.
Their recent good results have been built on solid defensive displays, as they have conceded just one goal in their last four matches on their travels.
