Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring 20-year-old Ghanaian centre-back Oscar Naasei Oppong as a potential addition to their Castilla squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Currently on the books of Spanish second-division side Granada CF, Naasei has drawn interest from the European giants following a season of steady development and impressive performances in La Liga 2.
According to Marca, the young defender’s name came up on the recommendation of Castilla coach and former Real Madrid star Álvaro Arbeloa, who sees him as a long-term project with top-level potential.
Naasei, who joined Granada from Ghanaian lower-tier club Emmanuel City in 2023, made his senior debut in October 2024 in a league clash against Levante UD.
He went on to make nine league appearances and featured in a Copa del Rey fixture against Real Zaragoza, showcasing his maturity and technical qualities despite his limited experience.
Though tied to Granada until 2026, it is understood that the Andalusian club may be willing to let the youngster leave for a transfer fee in the region of €450,000 to €1 million, especially with just one year left on his current deal.
