Real Betis and Real Sociedad will clash at the Estadio Benito Villamarín this Tuesday night in a huge La Liga clash with fourth taking on fifth in this unpredictable race for Europe in Spain’s top flight.
Heading into this game, it’s Sociedad who sit ahead of Betis and in fourth with a gap of six points on the fifth-placed side.

What’s more, the club have now won 16 times in the league and have the fourth-best defensive record after letting in only 29 goals in 30 games.
Sociedad came from behind at home over the past weekend to beat Rayo Vallecano 2-1.
Alexander Sorloth scored two minutes after going behind for the club, as an own goal from Florian Lejeune sealed all three points to keep the club on the heels of Atletico Madrid in third.
Atletico are sitting six points clear of Sociedad, and with meetings still to come against Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico, we could see Imanol Alguacil’s lose track on their return to the Champions League with an incredibly tough fixture run.
As for Betis, their run is a little easier but they do have Barcelona to come on the weekend, just as they lost to Atletico earlier this month.
Betis then even went on to lose to the struggling Cadiz, although they returned to the win column with a win over Espanyol.
Betis lost to Osasuna over the weekend, despite having 21 shots and 62% of the ball. The club went 2-0 down inside 11 minutes of the game, as Juan Miranda scored to bring one back in a match that saw four goals in the first half. Guido Rodriguez equalised later on in the second half for Betis.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men have scored the same amount of goals as Sociedad (39), but with them losing 10 times already, they are just one point ahead of Villarreal in sixth and six behind Soceidad by six points.
A loss in this game could spell the end for Betis’ hopes of getting back into Europe.
It’s a tough game to call given how close the two are in the league table, but Sociedad’s run of just two losses in the past two months is much better than the current run of form shown from Betis.
Forebet predicts a win here for Sociedad and for the game to see over 2.5 goals.
