Reading defender Baba Rahman excited to make his return from injury

Ghana left-back Baba Rahman has expressed his delight after makin a return from injury to feature for Reading in their 2-0 win Bristol City in the English Championship on Saturday.

The 28-year-old lasted the entire duration of the game as he helped the Royals secure all three points at the SCL Stadium.

“Felt good to be back out there again with the guys. Support was unreal as always and the guys kept in a good shift. We recover and go again next weekend. Massive +3 to send you all off to a good weekend,” Rahman posted on his twitter page after the game.

Neither side offered much going forward in the first half, with the defences on top and the goalkeepers barely tested.

But after the recess, Reading made the breakthrough in the 52nd minute, when Mamadou Loum headed in from a Tom Ince corner.

Deep in stoppage time, Andy Carroll made the points safe for the hosts by clinically finishing a quick counter-attack.

Reading had taken only one point from a possible 12, losing their past three games and dropping from third place in the table to 10th.

Baba Rahman, who is on loan from Chelsea has made five league appearances for Reading so far this season.
