Read the touching tribute of former Ghana captain for Christian Atsu —

Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan wrote a touching tribute to the late Christian Atsu who was laid to rest in Accra, Ghana’s capital on Friday, March 17, 2023.

Gyan, who was named Ghana captain in 2013, played with the former Chelsea winger during the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil where the two shared great memories.

The duo were also strongly connected when the Black Stars placed second at the 2015 AFCON which was staged in Equatorial Guinea.

Among the many footballers and organisations who wrote their words about the 2015 AFCON MVP Award winner was Gyan.

Below is Gyan’s tribute to the former Porto forward.
