On Saturday evening, RB Leipzig hosts Union Berlin at the Red Bull Arena in what could be a massive game at the top of the Bundesliga table.

Marco Rose’s team has enjoyed a significant revival in recent months. Die Roten Bullen are 12 league games unbeaten after a goalless draw with Koln last time out in the Bundesliga.

The recent unbeaten run has seen Leipzig move to within four points of leaders Bayern Munich while making it into the Champions League spots.

Leipzig has been prolific of late in the German top flight, as they have scored at least two goals in eight of their previous ten matches.

The home team has a stellar recent league record at the Red Bull Arena, as they are unbeaten in their previous ten home matches, having recorded eight wins. The last opposition team to win in Leipzig was Union in April.

The team from the German capital is currently sitting in second place in the Bundesliga table, a point behind reigning champions and league leaders Bayern Munich.

The visitors head into this clash on the back of a five-game winning run in all competitions, with four of the victories coming in the German top flight.

Union have also been prolific in those recent victories, scoring at least two goals in all five of their recent wins. Last time out, Urs Fischer’s team recorded a 2-1 home win over Mainz.

Union Berlin has won their last two away games in the Bundesliga. However, their recent away record in the German top flight has been slightly inconsistent. Before the back-to-back away wins, Union had suffered four defeats in their previous five league games on their travels.
