Ghana Football Association sources tell KickOffGhana.com that members of the Africa Youth Championships winning team, who were due to join their senior colleagues for the friendly in Cairo, will now be allowed the opportunity to rest and concentrate on their club careers after more almost a month away on national team duties.

It means Dede Ayew, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Samuel Inkoom who were all originally called up by Rajevac will now not make the trip to Cairo.

Ghana took first place at the African Youth Championships, sparking celebrations across the West African country, which has been starved of a major trophy since winning the same youth championships ten years ago.
