Headcoach of Raja Casablanca Rusmir Cviko has described the result as a win despite being held to a 2-2 draw by FC Samartex in the CAF Champions League on Sunday.
The Moroccan side played their all to pick a point against Ghana’s Samartex FC in the first leg of the Round 2 preliminary stage match at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking to the media after the game, Cviko expressed dissatisfaction with the pitch conditions, but praised his team’s performance.
“I’m not happy. I’m happy because we didn’t lose the game but normally we have to win this game. This field where we played it is not possible to play and because of that I say congratulations to my team. That is a big win for my team,” he said.
Raja Casablanca will host FC Samartex in the second leg, seeking to capitalize on their away goals advantage at the Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
On the other hand Samartex will need a win to advance to the group stage.
