Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim made a strong impact off the bench on Sunday, scoring in Slovan Bratislava’s 3-1 win over FK Železiarne Podbrezová in the Slovak Nike Liga.
The 22-year-old came on in the second half and doubled Slovan’s lead in the 69th minute with a composed finish ; his second goal of the season since joining from AS Trenčín in February 2025.
Veteran forward Vladimír Weiss opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 57th minute, while David Strelec added a third in the 77th.
Podbrezová pulled one back through Samuel Štefánik in the 84th, but it proved only a consolation.
Ibrahim’s growing influence was on full display, with his energy and tactical awareness adding depth to Vladimír Weiss’s midfield options.
The win keeps Slovan Bratislava top of the table with 69 points as they push toward another league title.
