Zamalek have reached an agreement with the Belgian top flight club to sell the player who made the Ghana squads at both the 2010 Nations Cup and the World Cup for 50,000 dollars. Rahim expects to put pen to paper on a two and half year deal to complete the move and says his first priority will be to play regularly again after he was left to practically rot on the Zamalek bench under new boss Hossam Hassan. The player is for now just delighted to have left the club and says he will be concentrating on playing regular football again. “I am a very happy person and I go into training in better spirit now,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “My debut may not happen till next week but for the target is simple. Now I am in Europe, I have the chance to start all over again and I will take it. I need to prove on the field that I am good enough to play so this is an opportunity I will take.” Playing on Rahim’s mind too is the fact that he could play his way back into national team consideration. He has not been called up into the Black Stars since they returned from the world cup where he was only a fringe player. I want to play for the Black Stars again but that is secondary now because unless I get a good start here and play well nobody is going to consider me for the national team. Rahim joined Zamalek after impressing for Ghana at the 2009 Championship of Africa Nations.
