German-born striker of Ghanaian descent, Ragnar Ache, has completed a move to newly-promoted Bundesliga side FC Köln.
The 26-year-old forward joins from 1. FC Kaiserslautern, signing a contract that runs until June 2029.
The transfer was officially confirmed by the club on Tuesday, May 27, as they continue to reshape their squad for the 2025/26 season.
Köln’s Sporting Director, Thomas Kessler, praised Ache’s quality and personality, expressing confidence in his ability to boost the team’s attacking options.
“He’s not only a really good striker, but also someone who will integrate quickly into our team and improve our attack with his quality up front.”
The move presents Ache, who previously featured for Germany’s U21 and Olympic teams, a chance to make a name for himself in one of Europe’s top leagues.
Despite his appearances for Germany at youth level, Ache remains eligible to represent Ghana at the senior level.
