Championship side Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of Ghana international Kwame Poku in a stunning swoop that saw them beat Scottish giants Rangers to his signature.
The 22-year-old forward, who was out of contract at Peterborough United at the end of June, has penned a deal with QPR after the club agreed a compensation fee for the player.
London-born Poku has been one of Peterborough’s standout performers since joining from Colchester in 2021.
Despite a hamstring setback, he managed 12 goals and 11 assists in 31 appearances during the 2024/25 season.
QPR consider the acquisition of the Black Stars winger a major addition to their attack, especially with his versatility and flair in the final third.
Poku, who has already represented Ghana at senior level, is expected to bolster Julien Stephan’s squad as they aim to push higher up the table in the upcoming campaign.
