Pyramids FC won the 2025 CAF Champions League title after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns 3-2 on aggregate.
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Pyramids dominated the second leg, taking the lead through Fiston Mayele’s smart finish in the 23rd minute.
They extended their advantage with Ahmed Samy’s header just before the hour mark.
Despite Sundowns’ late push, Pyramids held their nerve to secure a 2-1 win and lift the trophy.
Sundowns’ Rayners Iqraam scored late in the game, but it was too little, too late. This marks Pyramids’ first-ever Champions League title and the fourth for an Egyptian side.
Pyramids’ defense was solid, making it difficult for Sundowns to penetrate. The Egyptian side’s victory was a testament to their strength and determination. With this win, Pyramids FC has made history and brought glory to Egyptian football.
