“Does he want to continue at PSG?”
Landed free in the summer of 2021 after leaving FC Barcelona, the 35-year-old Argentine star has a current contract until June 2023, plus an additional twelve months as an option. While the question of his possible return to the Blaugrana arises, the successor on the bench of Mauricio Pochettino warns: “There are many parameters. The first thing is his desire. Does he want to continue at PSG? Is he happy here? The first thing to know is if he wants to continue. All these types of decisions are made between the player and Luis Campos.”
The former Nice coach also spoke about the fate reserved for the 2018 world champion, extended last May until June 2025. “It’s the same situation as Leo. When a player is happy somewhere, he has no reason to leave. To be happy, you have to enjoy. As soon as the player likes the pitch and feels that he is in a team that can win and can take on big challenges, he has no reason to leave. They are not there for the money. I think Kylian loves PSG.” Before concluding : “If he’s happy, why wouldn’t Kylian be here next season?” What will the main interested party decide in the coming months? To be continued…
