Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has revealed a shift in the club’s transfer strategy for the upcoming season.
Following a season where the team signed over ten players from lower divisions, including Division One and Two, Ogum has acknowledged that the approach did not yield the desired results.
Moving forward, the Ghana Premier League-winning coach has vowed to focus on signing established and proven players.
“We need to do a lot of structural changes in the playing body with respect to signing of some players to come to augment.
“This time, not players from lower divisions, but players who have seen it in the Premier League. So these are basically some of the things that we need to also do.”
The club has already released as many as 18 players; eleven on Tuesday and seven on Wednesday.
