Prince Tagoe has warned Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh over his speculated imminent departure from the club.
The 21-year-old has few weeks remaining on his contract and is yet to commit his future with the Phobians.
It is believed he has turned down opportunities to extend his contract as he eyes a move abroad.
“Whenever you call him, he’ll give an excuse…” Board Member, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe had told Graphic Sports, giving credence that the youngster wants to leave.
Tagoe, who featured for Hearts in the mid-2000s has some words of caution for the attacker.
“I rejected an offer from PSG in 2006 to complete a season at Hearts of Oak and I was the top-scorer,” Prince Tagoe told Accra based Angel FM.
“I moved to Saudi Arabia for €2m the following year and had good offers from Europe. Afriyie Barnieh shouldn’t rush to leave Hearts of Oak.”
Barnieh was part of the Black Stars squad that represented Ghana at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
He is currently with the Black Galaxies as they intensify training ahead of the CHAN tournament in Algeria next year.
