Prince Tagoe backs calls for GPL players inclusion in Black Stars World Cup squad

Ex-Ghana striker, Prince Tagoe has added his chorus to calls that Ghana Premier League players should be included in the Black Stars squad for the World Cup.

The former Black Stars goal poacher stated that players performing wonderfully in the domestic top-flight should be given the node in the team.

Hearts of Oak striker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim are both heavily favoured to be named to Ghana’s squad for the upcoming tournament in Qatar.

“The local players deserve a chance at the 2022 FIFA World in Qatar. Those doing well that everybody knows I mean it’s an exposure for them.” speaking to told Radio Gold.

Ghana will play Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay at the World Cup which is scheduled to start on November 20.
