Former Ghana striker Prince Tagoe believes the Black Stars have what it takes to qualify from their group at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, but has cautioned that none of the matches will be easy.
Ghana were drawn into Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama following the draw held in Washington last Friday.
Speaking about the challenge ahead, Tagoe urged the team to stay focused and approach the tournament one game at a time.
“None of the countries are easy to beat at the World Cup. We just have to focus on ourselves and ensure we take it game after game. For me, it is easy for us to get five or six points to make it out of our group,” he told Sporty FM.
He added that with the right preparation, Ghana can surprise many at the tournament.
“Ghana can get at least six points from this group, and with proper preparation we can surprise everyone at the World Cup,” he said.
The 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, will see Ghana make their fifth appearance at the global showpiece, with the Black Stars aiming to go beyond their historic quarter-final run of 2010.
