Ghanaian forward Prince Amoako Junior was on target once more in the Danish Superliga, but his effort wasn’t enough to save FC Nordsjaelland from a 4–2 home defeat to Odense BK at the Right to Dream Park on Sunday afternoon.
Nordsjaelland made a promising start when Nicklas Rojkjaer fired them ahead in the 16th minute, delighting the home fans.
But Odense came out stronger after the interval, with Jay-Roy Grot drawing them level shortly after the restart before Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Leeroy Owusu turned the game around in the 53rd minute.
The hosts responded quickly through Prince Amoako, who finished off a fine team move in the 64th minute after being set up by Finnish teenager Juho Lahteenmaki, restoring parity at 2–2.
However, Odense’s attacking power proved decisive in the closing stages as Grot completed his hat-trick with goals in the 78th and 89th minutes to hand the visitors all three points.
Despite the loss, Amoako’s consistent form continues to be a bright spot for Nordsjaelland.
The 18-year-old attacker has now recorded five goals and two assists in the 2025/26 campaign, the most goal contributions by any player in the squad.
He also leads the team in goals scored (5), big chances created (3), and ranks joint-second for assists (2).
