Preußen Münster target Jan Gyamerah as defensive reinforcement

Preußen Münster are eyeing a move for experienced German-Ghanaian right-back Jan Gyamerah as they look to bolster their backline ahead of the new season.

The 30-year-old, currently with FC Kaiserslautern, has been encouraged by the club’s management to seek a new challenge after starting just 13 games last season.

Kaiserslautern CEO Thomas Hengen confirmed ongoing discussions with Gyamerah and his representatives, though no final decision has been made.

Gyamerah, who was born in Germany and has Ghanaian roots, previously represented Germany at youth level. He joined Kaiserslautern last summer from FC Nürnberg but has struggled for consistent playing time.

Preußen Münster see him as a leader and valuable addition to their squad, according to Westfälische Nachrichten.
