Formwr Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has thrown his weight behind Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare as Ghana approaches the 2026 World Cup.
Danlad was part of the team in the last World Cup, albeit failing to make an appearance.
Since then, Danladhas left Asante Kotoko to plyhis trade in Ethiopia.
“Benjamin Asare is my senior, so it wouldn’t be right for me to advise him. I can only seek God’s luck, favor, and strength for him, to protect him from any disgrace or injuries,” Ibrahim told Akoma Sports.
Ibrahim praised Asare’s conduct, saying, “I really admire his conduct both on and off the pitch, and I pray that he performs exceptionally well for Ghana in the tournament.”
Ibrahim also rallied support for the Black Stars, stating, “Every qualified team has the potential to make history, and Ghana is no different. The team just needs our support, prayers, and encouragement for every player who earns a spot in the final squad. I am very confident that the team will make both Ghana and themselves proud.”
With 100 days to go to the World Cup, Ghana’s preparations are underway, and players like Ibrahim are backing the team to succeed.
