Portland Timbers will have to wait till February 2015Â before they can unveil newly signed Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey.
Kwarasey, 26, joined the Major League Soccer side last week but would not be able to feature until early next year when registration re-opens.
The Norway-born Ghanaian brought an end to seven-year stay at Stromsgodset by moving to the USA.
He started Ghana’s first World Cup game against U.S but has not played for the Black Stars after his criticism of the team’s goalkeepers’ trainer and the player selection criteria under former coach Kwesi Appiah.
Kwarasey is however expected to make a swift return to the team following the appointment of Avram Grant as the new coach.
