Ghana legend Mohammed Polo believes Richard Kissi-Boateng can solve permanently the country’s problematic left back role in the Black Stars.
The TP Mazembe enjoyed his first start for the Ghanaians as they walloped Sudan 4-0 in a 2014 World Cup qualifier last Sunday.
The former Berekum Chelsea ace performed creditably well as he provided cover for goalkeeper Fatau Dauda and the former Hearts of Oak player is confident he can be the panacea for the problematic role.
“He did well though but there were few mistakes. It wasn’t anything serious I must admit,†Polo told Radio XYZ
“But I think he should be given more playing time for him to adapt. He can play that role with more playing time.â€
The West African powerhouse has struggled for a permanent left-back role since Addoquaye Pappoe left the scene after the 2006 World Cup.
Versatile Harrison Afful has discharged in the role admirably even though most people preferred him on the right-flank.
