Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed his gratitude and pride in representing the Black Stars, considering it an honour to play for the national team.
Semenyo, who scored in Ghana’s 5-0 win over Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, revealed that injury would be the only reason he’d miss a national team call-up.
He has so far played 27 games, scoring three goals since making his debut for Ghana in 2023.
In an interview with SuperSport, Semenyo said: “It’s an honour; I always want to be part of the national team.
“I feel like the only thing that will ever stop me is obviously injury, of course, but I always try to make myself available. I always want to play for the nation. It’s been a dream of mine from a young age, so anytime I get called up, it’s an honour.
He’s set to return to club duty with Bournemouth, facing Manchester City in the FA Cup.
