Players that switch to play for Ghana stand to get a lot of joy and love – Black Stars coach Otto Addo assures

Ghana head coach, Otto Addo has promised players born abroad looking to switch allegiance to play for the Black Stars that they stand to gain more than just playing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking to BBC Sport Africa, the Germany-based gaffer assured that players stand to also enjoy their time in the national team and will be given massive love.

“This is why they really have to think about what to do. Especially if you’re not born in this environment, it’s not always easy.

“But they know what they stand to get. And first of all, it’s a lot of joy and love.

“And surely also for them. It’s not only about the World Cup, but also about more World Cups to come. It’s about African Cup of Nations. It’s about winning, being successful. So, it’s not about just this one World Cup in Qatar,” Coach Otto Addo said as quoted by BBC Sport Africa.

The Ghana head coach wants players born abroad who want to play for the Black Stars to do it immediately to have the chance to spend time with the team before the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
