The Namibia national team has arrived in Ghana to prepare for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Ahead of the tournament to be held in Ivory Coast next month, Namibia has chosen to camp in Ghana as the FA of the country sees the country as an ideal place to prepare for the tournament.
Namibia arrived in Ghana with Jorberg Airline at exactly 3:52 pm on Thursday, December 29.
They were initially expected to arrive at 1:30 PM but the flight was delayed.
They arrived with 9 technical team members and 22 players
The team will camp in Accra before settling on a preferred place for their training.
They are also looking to play a friendly game before they leave for Ivory Coast on January 9.
Reports gathered indicate that there are discussions for the Black Stars of Ghana to play Namibia in a pre-tournament-friendly match.
This follows the cancellation of Ghana’s friendly with Botswana.
