Ghanaian defender Philimon Tawiah has been released by German lower-division club FC Gütersloh following the expiration of his contract.
The 26-year-old joined the club in 2023 and was a key figure in their setup over the past two seasons. However, with the club heading in a new direction, they opted not to renew his deal.
Tawiah is now a free agent and is expected to remain in Europe, with several German lower-tier clubs reportedly showing interest.
Known for his stamina, technical ability, and control on the flanks, the former Tudu Mighty Jets full-back is open to continuing his career in Germany.
