Patric Pfeiffer is determined to fight for a starting position at Augsburg – Agent Oheneba Brenya explains

German-born Ghanaian defender Patric Pfeiffer remains resolute in his quest to carve a path with the Fuggerstadt team.

As the second half of the season unfolds, Pfeiffer’s story takes center stage in the affairs of the Bundesliga team.

Formerly a stalwart in the starting lineup under the tutelage of coach Enrico Maaßen, the winds of change swept in mid-October with the arrival of coach Jess Thorup.

In Thorup’s vision, the defensive line took a new shape, with Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and Felix Uduokhai anchoring the central duo. For Pfeiffer, this meant a shift from the forefront to the fringes, with only two appearances to his name under the new coaching regime.

In an exclusive conversation with Sky, Oheneba Brenya sheds light on Pfeiffer’s unwavering determination to make his mark despite the challenges.

There is also interest from other clubs, “Patric had inquiries,” said the agent, who then added: “But he wants to stay and not run away. He wants to bite through it!”

The 24-year-old’s contract with Augsburg ends on June 30, 2027.
