In a bid to reclaim their spot amongst Ghana’s elite clubs, Okwahu United have taken a bold step, with the adoption of a new constitution for its supporters’ body, now formally referred to as Mountains.
This milestone was reached at the club’s Congress, where a five-member committee’s proposals were reviewed and adopted.Under the new structure, supporters’ groups will now be called Mountains—with Nkawkaw becoming Mountain One and the Accra branch named Mountain Two.
The move marks a new beginning for a club that has been out of the Ghana Premier League since 2006 and is determined to mark its 20th year of relegation with a triumphant return in the 2025/26 season.
According to Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III Okwahu United requires at least GH₵10 million to adequately prepare for the new campaign, urging stakeholders to invest in the club’s dream of promotion back to the Ghana Premier League.
