The Black Stars play the two-time South American champions in only Africa’s third game in World Cup quarter-finals history and have found incredible support in South Africa so far.
That has delighted Paintsil who reckons the support could be vital for the Stars on Friday.
“The support has been massive so far and we can feel how much Africa is behind us,” he told KickOffGhana.com. “On Friday I want the fans to come in huge numbers with their Vuvuzelas and make a lot of noise for us.”
On the football itself, Paintsil is in no doubt this will be the biggest test for Ghana to date. “They have played really well here with a strike force that has been brilliant here but we have proven we can deal with anything.
“We have to play with our heart out plus a great deal of determination.”
