Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara believes that a coach shouldn’t bear the sole responsibility for a team’s performance.
He emphasizes that football club management involves three key components: the board, technical team, and playing body, all synergized by the fans’ energy.
Ouattara’s comments come amid growing fan dissatisfaction, with some calling for his resignation and that of other officials.
“It is not only the coach who must carry everything that goes on. That is why I get to know some don’t understand football,” he said.
Recently, agitated fans even stormed the club’s office, verbally attacking the Managing Director.
“Football is a triangle of the board, playing body and technical team and the administration. But inside the triangle, the important people who are there are the fans, “he added.
Despite the challenges, Ouattara remains committed to his role, focusing on achieving the Phobians’ vision set by patron, Togbe Afede XIV.
With four matches left in the season, Hearts of Oak currently sits sixth in the Ghana Premier League, and Ouattara aims to guide the team to a top-four finish.
