Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has set a goal for Asante Kotoko ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign next season.
It is a competition they are yet to win since 1983 where the Porcupines defeated Al Ahly 1-0.
Kotoko are Ghana’s sole representative in the CAF Champions League competition after their Ghana premier league triumph.
Speaking through his linguist, Otumfuo charged the playing body and technical team to go higher and clinch the CAF Champions League title.
“I congratulate you for winning the league title, now, you are going to Africa, I will urge you, the Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah, the coach, and the players to win in Africa because it’s been a while since I laid hands on the title,” he said.
“As a team, you need to remain united to be able to succeed,” he added.
Kotoko received GHc 250,000 for winning the league title and will conclude their campaign in Accra against Accra Lions on Saturday, June 18.
