Asante Kotoko have removed the image of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II from their new jersey for the impending football season.
It was an order the management of the club adhered to amid recent controversies.
The blacklash was generated after King Faisal bankroller, Alhaji Karim Grusah described the move to put the image of the King of Asantemam on the club’s jersey as “uncivilised”.
The seat of the Asantehene, Manhyia further expressed their unhappiness and asked for the image to be taken off.
We have after further considerations in collaboration with Errea amended our 2022/23 Kits.
