Ghana’s national team head coach, Otto Addo, is expected to announce his squad for the upcoming international assignments next week, according to GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum.
Speaking on Akoma 87.9 FM, Asante Twum revealed that the Black Stars technical team is currently finalizing its strategy for the upcoming Unity Cup in London, with a blend of regulars and new faces likely to feature.
“I know the technical team is considering how to approach this Cup. There will be some fresh additions while keeping the core of the team,” he said.
He added that preparations are already in motion and that local-based players selected in the final list will travel with the domestic contingent directly to London.
“Possibly by next week, the coach will announce his team, and if we have local players, they will join the local contingents and move directly to London to begin preparations.”
The Unity Cup, scheduled for May 27–31, 2025, will see Ghana face Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Nigeria in a four-nation friendly tournament in the UK.
