Otto Addo invites this Spain-based attacker for next month’s 2023 AFCON qualifying games against Madagascar and Central African Republic —

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has handed an invitation to Spain-based attacker Dauda Mohammed for next month’s 2023 AFCON qualifying games against Madagascar and Central African Republic.

According to widely circulated reports on social media, the 24-year-old former Asante Kotoko attacker has received his invitation to travel to Accra for the game against Madagascar on June 1, 2022, and the trip to face Central African Republic at the 50,000-capacity Barthélémy Boganda Stadium.

Dauda, who is on loan at La Liga 2 side Cartagena, has scored 9 goals and 1 assist in 35 league games so far.

He would have to fight for his place in the squad with potential invitees Jordan Ayew and Felix Afena-Gyan.

He was speculated to be part of the Ghana squad for the clash against Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers but he ended up not traveling for the games.
