Ghana’s Osman Bukari is the last player to wear number 11 which was the squad number of the legend Dragan Džajić.
The National Theater hosted a grand jubilee commemorating the 60th anniversary of the legendary Dragan Džajić’s arrival in Red Star Belgrade.
On that occasion, the general manager of the red and whites stated that the jersey with “number 11” in honor of Dragan Džajić will be permanently retired beginning next season.
Bukari, who joined the Belgrade “Maracana” last summer, will be remembered as the final player to wear the jersey with “number 11” on the back.
The Ghana international is ranked second among the top ten players in the Serbian Super Liga after matchday 10, with his impressive performances helping Red Star Belgrade to second place.
Bukari has scored four goals in seven league games for Red Star Belgrade, pushing them in their bid to defend their title.
