French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice have signed 21-year-old Ghanaian centre-back Kojo Peprah Oppong from Swedish club IFK Norrköping in a permanent deal.
The transfer, reported to be worth between €2–3 million, strengthens a Nice backline hit by injuries and absences, with veteran captain Dante nearing retirement and key defenders Ndayishimiye and Abdelmonem out with long-term ACL injuries.
Oppong becomes the second summer defensive addition after Juma Bah joined from Manchester City.
He will join the squad in Austria for pre-season ahead of Nice’s UEFA Champions League qualifier against Benfica on August 6, where he could make his debut.
