OFFICIAL: Jordan Ayew to work under Oliver Glasner as new Crystal Palace coach

Crystal Palace has made a decisive move in response to their Premier League struggles by appointing Oliver Glasner as their new head coach. The decision comes amid concerns over the club’s position, with Palace just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Glasner’s arrival means Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew will now be playing under his third permanent manager during his five-year tenure at the club. Previously, Ayew worked under Roy Hodgson, who had two stints at Palace, and Patrick Vieira.

Roy Hodgson’s resignation has paved the way for Glasner’s appointment, with the 76-year-old manager stepping down with immediate effect. The decision follows a string of poor results, including four losses in Palace’s last five games.

Oliver Glasner brings a strong track record to Selhurst Park, having led Eintracht Frankfurt to victory in the 2021-22 Europa League and securing a runner-up finish in the 2022-23 DFB Pokal.

The timing of Glasner’s appointment is significant, as Palace prepares for a crucial fixture against relegation-threatened Everton at Goodison Park on Monday night.
