Official: Baba Alhassan seals move to FC Steaua Bucuresti

Romanian outfit FC Steaua Bucuresti has announced the signing of Ghanaian international Baba Alhassan from rivals FC Hermannstadt.

Baba Alhassan has been on the radar of top clubs in the last couple of years as a result of his outstanding displays in the Romanian Super Liga.

According to FC Steaua Bucuresti, the 23-year-old midfielder will join the first team led by Elias Charalambous on January 8, when he will carry out his medical and travel to the winter training. The Ghanaian midfielder will wear the shirt number 42.

He last spent time with Romanian top flight side FC Hermannstadt where he managed to display good form while developing his game. He made 19 appearances and scored two goals.

Footballghana.com can report that Baba Alhassan will earn an impressive monthly salary of 10,000 euros.

FC Steaua Bucuresti believes signing the Ghanaian will boost the squad of the club as the team gears up to mount a challenge for the Romanian Super Liga title.

Baba Alhassan has been in Romania for three years, appearing in 106 matches and scoring 17 goals.
