Young Ghana forward Felix Afena-Gyan has completed his transfer to U.S Cremonese from AS Roma, both clubs announced Monday.
Roma will reportedly earn around €9 million (including bonuses) from the sale of the 19-year-old, nearly all of which will be accounted as capital gain.
“U.S. Cremonese announces that it has permanently acquired the right to the sports performances of the footballer Felix Afena-Gyan from AS Roma,” the Italian Serie A newbies wrote on their website.
Afena-Gyan signed a 5-year contract with Cremonese.
He thus leaves Roma after 18 months following his arrival in March of 2021 from Ghana-based lower-tier side EurAfrica FC.
The striker initially joined the Roma youth system at the start of 2021 and made his professional debut for the club later that same year.
In total, Afena-Gyan made 22 appearances in Giallorossi, scoring two goals – both of them coming against Genoa in a memorable substitute appearance in October 2021.”
The 6 times-capped Ghana international was also a part of the matchday squad as Roma lifted the Europa Conference League in May 2022.
