Former Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi says the controversy that brought his time in football administration to an end no longer weighs on him.
The long-time administrator resigned from his positions in June 2018 after the release of Number 12, an investigative documentary by journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The exposé detailed alleged corruption within Ghanaian football and placed Nyantakyi at the centre of the storm.
Appearing on Joy News on Tuesday, he made it clear that he harbours no bitterness about how events unfolded.
“I am not hurt by anything like that. Life goes on. There are many opportunities in life for every individual,” Nyantakyi stated.
The documentary showed him receiving $65,000 from an undercover reporter while suggesting he could use political influence to support business interests.
The revelations sparked intense public outrage and led to his immediate resignation from roles at the GFA, CAF and FIFA.
In October 2018, FIFA handed Nyantakyi a lifetime ban from football-related activities.
That sanction was later reviewed and reduced to a 15-year suspension, effectively closing a significant chapter of his football career.
