Number 12: Kwesi Nyantakyi’s self-confessed bribery attempt justifies his FIFA ban – Tiger Eye PI

Tiger Eye PI has issued a press release addressing allegation that it demanded an amount of $150,000 from former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi after the completion of the Number 12 documentary.

Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi in an interview with Onua TV on Tuesday said after paying $100,000 of the demanded sum, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team went ahead to release the documentary.

With the attention of Tiger Eye PI drawn to the allegation, it has hit back at Kwesi Nyantakyi insisting that he is a self-confessed bribe-giver and a bribe-taker.

“Mr. Nyantakyi’s assumption that such a priceless exposé, which had long been advertised by BBC, could be shelved simply ‘paying’ a $100,000 bribe is not only shocking but by also indicative of naivety. Tiger Eye underscores its robust internal mechanisms in place, making it difficult for any individual to alter or suppress an investigation.

“Mr. Nyantakyi, by his admission, is a self-confessed bribe-giver, and a bribe-taker for attempting to bribe his way out of a painstaking investigation into his conduct,” Tiger Eye PI said in a press release.

According to Tiger Eye PI, the confession by Kwesi Nyantakyi justifies why FIFA handed him a life-ban after the Number 12 documentary.

“Per his self-confessed bribery attempt, Mr. Nyantakyi has proven that the life-ban from taking part in any kind of football-related activity at national and international level for conflict of interest and bribery offences provided for by FIFA Code of Ethics (FCE) was justified,” the release indicated.
