Nsuopon Fidelity and Tamale City played out a goalless draw in Group B of the 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
The result leaves Nsuopon Fidelity at the top of the group with four points, while Tamale City move to two points after drawing both of their matches without conceding a goal.
Both teams had opportunities to break the deadlock, but neither side was able to convert its chances. The contest became particularly entertaining after half-time, with Nsuopon Fidelity and Tamale City creating decent openings as they searched for the decisive goal.
Despite the increased attacking threat in the second half, the two defences held firm and the match ended without a goal. Tamale City’s clean sheet means they have yet to concede in either of their group matches, although they are still waiting for their first victory in the competition.
Tamale City will now prepare for their final Group B fixture against FC AshantiGold. That match will give them another opportunity to claim their first win of the 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup and improve their position in the group.
Nsuopon Fidelity, meanwhile, will go into their final group-stage game as leaders. They face Semper Fi and will be seeking another positive result to retain their place at the top of Group B.
The draw gives Nsuopon Fidelity four points from their campaign so far. Tamale City’s second successive draw takes their total to two points, with their unbeaten record also maintained through two matches.
With both teams still having one group game remaining, the situation in Group B remains to be settled. Nsuopon Fidelity will focus on protecting their lead, while Tamale City must turn one of their draws into a victory when they meet FC AshantiGold.
The match at Obuasi Len Clay Stadium therefore produced no goals, but it left both sides with clear objectives for their final fixtures: Nsuopon Fidelity are aiming to remain top, while Tamale City are pursuing their first win and continuing their run without conceding.
