Nsoatreman FC host Asante Kotoko Thursday

Nsoatreman FC will clash with Asante Kotoko at Nana Konamansah Park at Nsoatre Thursday afternoon as Accra Lions host Kpando Heart of Lions at the Accra sports stadium.

Nsoatreman have been magnificent in the ongoing campaign, especially at home – holding out a 100% winning run in three home games against Legon Cities (2-0), FC Samartex (1-0) and Bechem United (2-0).

They head into this game buoyed by the 1-0 win against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday – a result that cemented their place at the top of the table.

Coach Maxwell Konadu has injected some level confidence and quality to the side after joining from Legon Cities in the summer. Marque signing Abdul Manaf Umar has also been key to their recent performance having scored 4 goals in six League games. Eric Osei Bonsu has also been instrumental for Nsoatreman after his free transfer from Legon Cities.

A win over Asante Kotoko will send them back to the top of the League table despite playing one game less than leaders Aduana FC.

Former champions Asante Kotoko will be aiming for their first win since they beat Aduana FC 1-0 at home – with their recent games against Nations FC and Bechem United ending in stalemates.

The Porcupine Warriors have won once on the road and will make an audacious attempt this time against a side that have yet to drop points at home in this campaign.

Kalo Ouattara gave the Reds a 1-0 win over Accra Lions – their only away win thus far.

Asante Kotoko will go into the game without one of their priceless assets Richmond Lamptey due to injury. But coach Dr. Prosper Narteh-Ogum has other players to fall on.Baba Yahaya, Peter Acquah and Rocky Dwamena are all available for selection.

Asante Kotoko also boast of seasoned campaigners like Henry Ainsu, Steven Mukwala, Sherif Mohammed, Augustine Agyapong to rely on.

Three points separate the two sides with Kotoko lying in 9th place with 10 points while Nsoatreman FC occupy the third spot with 13 points – but one game shy of the Warriors.

The game which is scheduled for 3pm kick off at the Nana Konamansah Park at Nsoatre will be broadcast live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247.

Also on Thursday is the battle of lions between Accra Lions and returnees Kpando Heart of Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
