Accra Sports Stadium has been temporarily shut down by the National Sports Authority and will not be used for any football activities until January next year.

The Ghana Premier league football is set to be back from break but NSA have decided to close the stadium down for musical events.

Sources close to the NSA say the facility has been rented out to organisations and musicians for events and concerts in this festive season.

This means three clubs – Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics and Accra Lions will have to find a new venue to relocate.

Also Hearts of Oak will now have to choose Cape Coast Stadium as their new home grounds when the league returns whiles the Wonder Club and Lions are also reported to move to Sogakope.

The league which is currently on break will resume on Monday, December 19, 2022.
