National Sports Authority (NSA) Director General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has assured fans of maximum security for Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
The Black Stars will take on the Eagles in a high-stakes clash scheduled for 19:00 GMT, with both sides eyeing qualification to the next World Cup.
Ghana come into the fixture on the back of a frustrating 1-1 draw with Chad, while Mali registered an emphatic 3-0 win over Comoros.
“The match will be a very high security game in terms of the number of Police, Military and other support services who will make sure that,”Ankrah told the media.
“Everybody are protected so you can be rest assured that you will have maximum security before, during and after the match.
Ghana’s last home qualifier was marred by safety infractions at the Accra Sports Stadium, but the NSA says measures have been reinforced to guarantee fans’ safety this time.
