Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson says his side must step up their performance when they face Tunisia in the second leg of their U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
Ghana head into Sunday’s fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium with a 2-0 advantage from the first leg in Tunis, but Sampson insists the tie is far from over.
“We want to upgrade our performance and do better. We’ve got the win that we wanted, but we couldn’t play the way we wanted, and I could understand also with the stress and inexperience in some of the players,” he told Sporty FM.
The coach admitted that playing away affected the young Princesses but expects his players to show more composure on home soil.
“Now I hope this being a home game, we can play with more calmness and express ourselves much better,” he said.
The return leg is set for Sunday, September 28, at the Accra Sports Stadium, where the Princesses will aim to seal qualification and continue their march toward the World Cup.
