On Tuesday night, Norwich City host Bournemouth at Carrow Road in one of the picks of the ties of the Carabao Cup second round.

Norwich

The Canaries have enjoyed a mixed season so far back in the Championship after relegation from the Premier League last season. Dean Smith’s team has taken seven points from their opening five matches in the English second tier.

Norwich has shown signs of improvement of late, winning back-to-back games against Huddersfield and Millwall. The team from Norfolk have been relatively prolific in front of goal of late, winning three of their last four matches.

The Canaries have a poor recent record in the League Cup, winning just one of their last six matches in the competition while suffering four defeats in the process.

However, Norwich has won eight of their last ten home matches in the Carabao Cup. A key to the Canaries recent home record in the Carabao Cup has been their attacking efforts, as they have scored at least two goals in nine of their previous ten home games in the League Cup.

Bournemouth

The Cherries swapped places with the Canaries winning promotion to the Premier League from the Championship. Scott Parker’s team endured a difficult start to life back in the English top-flight so far, losing two of their three league matches of the season. However, they have faced champions Manchester City and in-form Arsenal in their last two league outings.

Like the hosts, Bournemouth has a poor recent record in the League Cup, having won just one of their last seven matches in the competition in 90 minutes.

The visitors have lost their last five away games in the Carabao Cup, including suffering a 6-0 defeat at Tuesday night’s opponents in last season’s competition.

What does Forebet predict?
